Your boutique home away from home can be found directly across the street from TD Garden, home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins, and a short jaunt from many of Boston's famous sights: The Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, the Boston waterfront and the North End, also known as Little Italy. Harvard 15 min

As one of Boston’s best-known residents, Harvard University makes waves around the globe. We feel honored to reside only 15 minutes from this esteemed school—the oldest institution of higher education in the country. The school is proudly “devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research, and to developing leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally,” and it consists of approximately 22,000 students (undergrad, graduate and professional) and 2,400 faculty members. Visitors can take guided historical tours (that begin at the Smith Campus Center) or mobile tours (via smartphone) that reveal the Harvard Yard of yesteryear.


MIT 12 min

MIT, located only 12 minutes from our hotel, welcomes visitors from around the globe to wander its alluring campus—featuring copious green spaces, pocket gardens, alfresco public art and a contemporary arts museum—as well as nearby Cambridge gems. Founded in 1861, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has a mission designed to “advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.” Within the independent and privately endowed university, students choose between five Schools—architecture and planning; engineering; humanities, arts, and social sciences; management; and science.

Tufts University 15 min

We’re located 15 minutes from Tufts, a school established in 1852 and recognized “as a premier university dedicated to educating new leaders for a changing world.” The academic institution boasts a diverse community of 10,000-plus undergraduate and graduate students who hail from more than 60 countries. The school’s Medford/Somerville campus – home to the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering – can be found five miles northwest of Boston. (Their Fenway campus, home to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts, resides in downtown Boston.) The university’s combination of research and liberal arts is said to attract students, faculty and staff “who thrive in [an] environment of curiosity, creativity and engagement.”

Find our hotel located a 12-minute drive from Emerson College, an internationally-recognized institution of higher learning devoted to communication and the arts. With a downtown campus anchored in Boston’s Theatre District and situated across from the iconic Boston Common, Emerson’s campus sits at the crossroads of this historic city. The college offers undergraduate, graduate and professional studies programs in communication; communication sciences and disorders; journalism; visual and media arts; performing arts; and writing, literature and publishing. An impressive faculty lineup includes nationally-recognized scholars (as well as professionals) who work in all of the aforementioned fields.

Northeastern University, founded in 1898, is located 14 minutes from our hotel. Northeastern stands out with its signature co-op program and its unique characterization as a global, experiential, research university that’s “built on a tradition of engagement with the world, creating a distinctive approach to education.” Its central, urban campus—marked by green spaces and tree-lined walkways—puts the entire city at students’ disposal. The university offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs leading to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools.

We’re 15 minutes away from Boston University, a vibrant school that boasts “a swirl of languages, faces and religions , over 500 student clubs , shows and lectures , a state-of-the-art fitness center , a slew of pubs and restaurants, and the thrills and spills of fitness center. ” This leading private research institution has two primary campuses in Boston’s core, as well as programs scattered around the globe. The two Boston campuses bustle with 33,000-plus undergraduate and graduate students from more than 130 countries, nearly 10,000 faculty and staff, 17 schools and colleges, and 250 fields of study.
