- How do I view my reservation?
- Use this link to view, modify, or cancel your reservation.
- What is check in/check out time?
- Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check out is at noon.
- What do I need in order to check in?
- Upon check-in, we require a government issued photo ID and an active credit card that will authorize for the total amount of room and tax, plus $100 for each night. Unfortunately, we do not except cash deposits; however, guests may settle the final bill by paying with cash upon check-out.
- Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?
- The Onyx Hotel is a 100% non-smoking hotel. A fee will be charged should you choose to smoke in the rooms.
- How much do you charge for high speed/wifi internet access?
- High-Speed internet access is complimentary for Kimpton In Touch guests. Guests who are not yet Kimpton InTouch members may sign up to receive complimentary access, or choose $11.99 for 24 hours at a 768k speed access.
- Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless internet access available?
- Only wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and guestrooms.
- Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?
- Our fitness center is open 24 hours and has cardio machines and free weights.
- Do you offer room service? What are the hours?
- Room service is provided by our restaurant 24 hours a day. There is a limited menu outside our restaurant business hours.
- Do you have a business center?
- We do have a business center available 24 hours for your use. It includes a PC and a MAC computer with access to a printer.
- Do you have a pool?
- We do not have a pool at the hotel.
- Do you have a spa? What are the hours?
- We have In Room Spa Services available. Please contact the concierge to set up these services, or you may schedule on our Web site.
Transportation/Directions
- How do I get to the hotel?

- Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
- We do not offer free shuttle services however, please contact our concierge to arrange any transportation needs.
- What are your cross streets?
- The Onyx Hotel is located on Portland Street, in between Merrimac Street and Causeway Street.
- Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?
- We offer valet parking services at the hotel for a charge of $45/night.
Reservations
- How do I view my reservation?

- Will your rooms allow rollaways/cribs/playards? Is there a charge?
- Some of our rooms allow rollaways/cribs/playards. Due to fire codes, we cannot make them available for all rooms. There is a $20 charge per night for rollaways.
- I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
- You will need to contact the channel with which you made your reservation.
- What is the minimum age requirement to check in to the room?
- The minimum age requirement to check into the hotel is 18 years old and guests will need to present their credit card and photo ID upon check-in. We have credit card authorization forms available should a parent or a guardian like to take care of the charges.
- What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
- If booked directly through the Hotel, we have a 24 hour prior to arrival cancellation policy on most reservations. You must cancel by 6 pm Eastern time the day prior to arrival to avoid penalty. On certain reservations a special cancellation may apply. If booked through a third party, please contact the booking agent directly for cancellation policies.
- Is my ID/passport required at check in?
- Yes, a valid government issued picture ID is required for hotel check-in.
- What age do kids stay for free?
- Kids 17 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.
- Do you have connecting rooms?
- We do have a limited number of adjoining rooms. This is on a request basis and cannot be guaranteed.
- Do you have an early departure fee?
- Yes, if the departure date is changed to an earlier date after check-in, one night's room rate and tax will apply.
- Do you have accessible rooms?

- What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?
- Breakfast:
Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Dinner:
Monday-Saturday: 4:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Sunday: 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Closed Sunday nights from May 27th - Oct 7th
Accounting
- I have questions about my bill. Who do I call?
- Please contact the hotel directly at 617.557.9955 and speak with the accounting department or the front desk.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept all Major Credit Cards such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash deposits; however, guests may settle the final bill by paying with cash upon check-out.
- Does the hotel require a deposit for incidentals?
- Yes, the hotel requires a $100.00 deposit per night.
- How can the incidental deposit be made?
- This deposit can be placed on your credit or debit card.
- When will the incidental deposit be returned to my debit or credit card?
- The deposit is released by the hotel in the evening of the day that you check out. Depending on your bank's policy, it may take up to 3-5 business days for the money to be posted back into your account.
- How much money does the hotel authorize on my debit or credit card at check in?
- At check in we authorize your entire stays room and tax plus an incidental deposit.
Pets
- Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?
- Pets are welcome at the Onyx Hotel with no restriction on types or size. Pet owners will be asked to fill out a waiver/liability form accepting responsibility for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the hotel. Please inform us in advance if you choose to bring your pet. Fill out our Pet Registration.
- Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?
- Yes, please call the hotel to let us know that you have pet allergies.
- Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?
- Pet-sitting and dog walking services are available, for a fee, through our concierge. Please contact the concierge in advance for these services.
- How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?
- Only 4 blocks to a small park near North Station.

- I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?
- Please contact the concierge prior to your arrival to set up these services.
